Excellent!

As expected, that rufous is looking for trouble!

Great set Chief. #1 is my favorite. The color scheme is so different than most hummers I have seen. That last one is my second favorite. He looks like a plane coming in for a landing.

Hi Spyder, the first one is a Black Chinned, they have to be in just the right light for the black to turn purple. The 3rd one (I think) is also a Black Chinned, but has caught a little light so you can see some purple. If you are really lucky the whole head can turn purple. The second is a Broad Billed, they are rarely seen north of southern Arizona. The last one, I really like. I think it's a juvenile Rufous, but not sure. I really like his color pattern. I'm glad you liked them.

LOL. Yeah it looks like the Rufous is always looking for trouble. They are one of the smallest and one of the most pugnacious. I'm glad you liked the shots.

It is. I’m an Army brat, worked for the Army and Air Force, and read military romances. Lots of exposure to “terms”.
