Honoring our Soldiers
May 28, 2018 05:41:47   #
RE Loc: California

Spent some time today at our local cemetery visiting family members and honoring those who served. Our local Boy Scouts have put flags on all the final resting places of men and women who served, there also is a section with flags in remembrance of those lost in more recent wars as well as a memorial wall to those who served.

Honoring the fallen.

Very nice to remember those who gave their all.
Thank you for the thoughts.
My mind today turns to those who I served with as well who did not return, nearly 300.
I often wonder why some were taken while some were not even though in the same operations.

It is difficult to say why Architect1776, I can somewhat understand...well not the same I am a three time cancer survivor whose mother and sister as well as too many friends have not survived this illness...do not let survivors guilt get to you...live your life to the fullest in remembrance of them! Thank you for your service, I greatly appreciate it!

Thank you.
But please remember those who are not here as it is their day. Veteran's Day helps honor those still alive.
Your thoughts are appreciated.

It was an honor to visit the display of flags in tribute to those who have served and those who have given all.
