Yesterday I was a participant in a Hummingbird workshop. After exercising my shutter finger for what seemed hours, I was pleased to find this image when viewing my photos on the computer at home. Canon 100-400mm mkII at 350mm on a 7D mkII @ 500 ISO and 1/200 @ f/16. My 3 Sunpak strobes set to minimum output stops the wing motion.

What a fascinating look you captured! What comprises a hummingbird workshop? Are the birds outdoors in a natural setting?

Seriously though, I agree that the photo is a beautiful realization of technique in service of an artistic creation. It ain't the equipment, it's the vision and skill of the photographer.
