If this has been discussed before I apologize but I am new to photography and it seems to me that crop sensor cameras give you more bang for your buck. Assuming the crop sensor dslr has reasonable high resolution i.e. 24mp. With a crop sensor camera the cost of the lenses is less because of the 1.5 increase in magnification and the camera is also less money. I assume the image quality is somewhat better with full frame cameras but unless you are making very large prints will the results really be that apparent?

I resisted getting a DSLR because of weight, size and cost -in that order. When I finally decided to make the move from my Canon bridge camera (SX 40 HS, S3 IS previously), I went with a Canon 80D. I was also not satisfied with the low light performance of my small sensor cameras. I'm not getting any younger and I don't want to lug a big body and lens around, especially when I'm at the races walking all over Laguna Seca and Sears Point, both of which are very hilly (and I typically walk 5-7 miles a day at the races). I get all of the reach I need with my EF 70-300 lens and my EF-S 18-135 (my "walking around lens"). I'm completely satisfied with the photos I get. For my needs, I made the correct choice. Get what meets your requirements and go take photos!

Why is Sony unwillingly to weather seal there high end “A” series cameras I’ve read multiple articles on these cameras and yet they have not stepped up to the plate. They don’t meet the levels that Nikon, Canon, Pentax, have instituted for dampness, dust and other things that can impact a camera, for the amount of money they sell the A9 for you would think this would be taken care of?

I have Sony A7RIII and A7III and like the A9 they are weatherproof enough for pros like myself. They are being used by pro wildlife and sports shooting in severe conditions with no issues (rain, blowing snow, sand, outdoors at the recent Winter Olympics etc.) . Top Wildlife shooter Luke Massey explains his change from Canon DSLR to fullframe Sony A7S and then Sony A9. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjClfTPKqZE

I don't run a hose over my cameras, but I have had them trekking for three weeks in the daily rain across the Scottish Highlands and Hebrides Islands with no issues. And have had them in blowing sand and blowing snowstorms, with no issues.
