Banding when using gradient filter

See attached photo. Taken around 7am in cloudy skies at high iso. Post processed, denoised and sharpened. Question: how do you reduce the color banding around the oval gradient I used to create a slight vignette? It should be smooth and not have color artifacts...

Try the feathering slider.

I did this just by sliding the purple tint slider left to -50 (towards blue) in Lightroom's HSL section. You could also try reducing the contrast in your radial filter. I think the trouble is that darkening colours strengthens them and the patches weren't strong enough to be visible at the original brightness level.

I don't really see any banding but some color noise!

Banding is probably not the right term. Progressive color noise in the gradient may be better said....
thanks.

Photoshop, layer mask, Gaussian blur filter... brush area and adjust with blend if/ amount slider if needed.

Colour denoise might be worth trying if you have it. Sometimes it eliminates stuff that's bigger than speckles.

It shows up when you do gradient filtering in lightroom. Very slight color variations as you progress away from the subject. Like the rings of saturn only much more subtle.....but i notice it....and now that i notice it....its annoying :-)

I may meed to go into PS and blend it but dang thats a lot of work.....
