Just got the official email today.
If you don't download your pics and end your account at flickr by May 25th, it will be transfered to Smugmug.
Typo in title. Should read: It's official Smugmug has aquired Flickr.

It will be interesting to see.
I had a SmugMug account at work and really loved using it until the university said I couldn’t use it.
SmugMug’s user support was amazing!
But then again, it was a paid account.
