Sony has some enticing prices on much of their photography gear. The A7R II which is a 42MP full frame body with in body image stabilization for $1998. It's little brother, the A6500 which is a 24MP aps-crop body with in body image stabilization for $1098. Sony has been making significant advances in the mirror-less arena lately and has spurned Canikon to fast track their mirror-less development.

It sounds like advertising to me!
Could Sony be feeling some pressure from the Olympus pro level mirrorless?

In my opinion, no. FF, crop, and mft are three different birds. MFT being the lowest in the food chain.

I'll have to tell a friend who owns an a6000. The a6500 was selling for $1400, body only, last year. He wants to upgrade to the a6500.

They WILL be feeling pressure when Canon and Nikon release FF Mirrorless models.... Canon may be cautious and slow to the table but they have the $$$ and no how.... and BTW, the LOWEST in the food chain is MORE than enough for 90% of the folks on this site....
That's funny since Sony has been making the sensors For virtually all manufacturers for years.
