Waiting for mine to arrive. I helped to fund the start-up project thru Kick Starter.

I got in on funding early. Great concept! Not surprised they have encountered problems in getting it to market, but happy they have taken the time to test and fix problems. The software and electronics appear to be well in hand and the outer shell of the device had to be upgraded. Delivery schedule has slipped, but last I heard they would ship by the end of May. They just asked me, about two weeks ago, to review and update my camera list in anticipation of shipment soon. At this point I think it would be prudent for you to wait until it has been shipped and reviewed by users.

I am not sure this doesn't take a lot of the challenge from photography. The results demonstrated appear awesome, but I would not like to show images that I had to admit were AI produced. Something in me keeps me from saying "I took this".

Things change. I use a laptop instead of a typewriter; email instead of letters; a cell phone instead of a telegram; a wrist watch instead of a pocket watch; an automobile instead of a horse; a digital camera instead of a film camera; a post processing application instead of a darkroom; etc. No one forces you to use new technology. When someone likes one of my prints, they seldom ask what camera I used, what the camera settings were, what post processor I used, or what printer I used. It doesn't make any difference. All that matters is the result.

People have been saying that for at least 150 yr. But it doesn't make any sense.

I also pre ordered one due in September. Will be very interested in hearing your opinion when yours gets in. The connectivity is what I find most appealing. If it works even close to the advertising will be worth the cost. Also for the focus stacking. I have a Nikon d810 which doesn’t do that in camera like the D850. I wish the camera manufactures would get their connectivity tech on par with what a cell phone can do, but until then I’ll be ok with a add on device.
