Nice selection Ken. I was trying to find an ID for the black and orange insect in the 3rd. shot but failed. I love those seed heads, so pretty.

Looks like a Box Elder bug.

The goldenrod soldier beetle ( Chauliognathus pennsylvanicus ) perhaps. Although this one has orange on part of the legs so ?
