Hi Marty and thank you. Was definitely worth the trip down to this nest
I really enjoyed these. There is a comfortable sense of intimacy about them. I do like the third one especially. Its a really nice photograph. Not just a bird picture.
Jay, you always do such nice bird shots. These are no exception. Are these from Newcomerstown?. I need to get there.
Fran
Great Shots...Is this the eagles nest in Ohio, ( ie the nest that actually is below the road) ?? I ask because I used to go there when I was in Ohio and introduced Jerry Woodruff to this fantastic ( secret nest ) which you can view the eagles all times of the year with one of the best vantage points I have ever seen.

Thank you so much for Mark. We are lucky to have several eagle nests within an hour drive. Next Saturday we're going north to check out the GHO nest and their young.

Hi Fran and thank you so much. It is Newcomerstown. If you go get there early. Gets crowded quick. I think Bernie and I are heading to Chagrin River Park for the GHO next Saturday. They have young too and are active

Hi Doc and yes it is. Thanks to social media it's always crowded there now. Good thing is it's on a back road but there's still a couple locals that can't stand it that we're there and call the cops who have to come and run us off. I've not seen one person cause an issue or block road. All have been very respectful. There's always one or two. As they drive by blowing horn, speeding and yelling obcenities. These are the ones calling too.
Good morning..I was there when there was only one or two photographers....and yes the locals would speed by and yell and blow the horn. The photographers that I met were always respectful to each other, the road and of course the eagles. I enjoy seeing your photos of those magnificent creatures. I hope the locals don't continue to cause problems. They need the police to catch the speeders in their pick-up trucks...not the photographers. Thank you again for sharing your great photos. BTW...what camera, lens are you using? I usually shot mine with a NIKON 400mm AFS 2.8 or a NIKON 600mm AFS 4.0.Keep sharing. Have a fantastic sunday

Thanks again Doc. I use a D500 and a 300mm 2.8 these shots are cropped. I just got this lens and am learning it. Would eventually like at least a 500 mm.
How did you get your photos from that aspect of a veiw were you up in a building or a tree biside them hillside????
