looking to buy a like new Nikon D7500 for a reasonable price. No lenses, just the body. Thanks for looking.

When the D7500 was released, the price was $1249 Body Only. It is higher priced than the D7200. The D7500 is a very good camera. It has the same sensor, 20.9 megapixels, as the D500. The D7500 has only one SD card slot, which turned off many potential buyers. If the price is right. Buy it.

Nikon has some refurbs available at $200 off new price.
I'm kinda looking for the lowest price I can get, hopefully around $700 I have champagne taste on a diet coke budget.

Maybe you should look for a used D7200. A non-grey market used D7500 probably will not be found under $1000.

$700 is actually a low ball price. I suggest if you want a D7500, to stay away from a Gray Market one. For an extra $100, you may want to consider a refurbished D7200. Cameta Photo Shop would be a start. They sell a lot of refurbished DSLRs at bargain prices. With an extended 9 month warranty, over the 90 day Nikon warranty.
I also would opt for a 7200 for the dual cards. I saw the changes they made to the 7500 and was immediately turned off by it. To me it was a step towards entry level cameras not away from them. More bang for the buck would be from the 7200 or even a 7100 in my opinion.
Skip the 7500 and get a real camera.

probably an unrealistic expectation. Cheapest used sold on ebay is about $875-$980. and those are gray market. try a used D7200 instead!
Hi MaisyMae,
I recently researched a "field" camera choice to backup my D750. I had settled on a D7500, D7200, or a D500. I found the space between the body and grip of the D7500 camera was too tight for my fingers (long & slender). The D500 was out of my price range so I settled on a used, low mileage D7200 ($660 on eBay). I'm very pleased with it. You may want to consider that option. Take care & ...
Nikon USA has a refurbished for $1149

Go for a used or refurb d7200. Way to go.
