New to digital photography ... reforming iPhone user
Iâm just beginning to explore digital photography. I bought a used Nikon D90 with about 45k actuations and am having fun exploring in auto mode for now. Any suggestions on where to start and good resources?
Start by just enjoying picture taking of anything and everything.
Next... don’t be discouraged when you discover no one wants to see all your photos.

Pixels are free, just wander around and shoot. You're in San Diego? Go to the Zoo.

Welcome to UHH.
As the others have said get out and shoot as much as you can. Get used to your camera and have fun. There are videos on YouTube and books available on the D90 (look on Amazon for books). There are also videos and books available on the different aspects of photography.
Welcome! Looking forward to your posts and pictures. Happy shooting!
Welcome Deb. Great photo! Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
Welcome to the UHH Deb, enjoy.
Welcome to the forum Deb. Enjoy your new camera.

Welcome to UHH Deb, glad you joined us. My brother still shoots with his D90, quite a work horse. You have found a very good resource with this forum. You can also try Nikon USA and UTube tutorials.
Have fun, learn and enjoy the forum.
