Hi I’m Jerry,
I think I take great pictures , but I really don’t, haha. I joined uglyhedgehog to get tips and learn to take better pictures and learn my camera better. I have a Nikon d5000. When I bought it I got free lessons, but Ritz close down in my town before I got my lessons.
So any suggestions, advice, or tips are welcomed and appreciated.
If anyone knows of photography classes in Memphis, TN, please let me know.

Welcome, the forum is a great place to learn. Sometimes you stumble on information you didn't know you lacked/needed, sometimes you learn from other's work, for what they did right, or their mistakes. When you're ready, post your own work with any comments or questions about it you may have. There are many helpful people (and a few not so much), but overall there is a wealth of valuable information available here.

Hello Jerrry welcome to the forum post pictures ask questions and most of all have fun. You tube is a very good source of information for camera questions and post processing hope this helps saying hello from Pittsburgh.

Welcome Jerry, a lot of local Community Colleges offer photography lessons as well as local community groups, it's just a matter of asking around. In photograph, you don't have to please anybody but yourself.
