Early one morning I went to this pond to find the eagle. Managed to spook the eagle by locking my jeep door ( the horn sounds when it locks) shucks , what a stupid mistake. As I was struggling to set up my tripod along came this guy on his morning mission and he was not happy that I was there. He went back and forth barking at me and then out of sight to chase away the other water fowl on the pond. What a kick.

Yup, they snarl too & sometimes bare teeth, like at your dod. Great fun to watch them.

Contact a Jeep dealer, I'm not absolutely positive but I think that your vehicle can be reprogrammed to just have your lights flash and the horn won't honk. Then you can sneak up on that otter.

Re honking horn.
Not all manufacturers will be the same, but mine if you push the lock button once it locks and flashes lights. Push it twice it locks, lights, and honks.

Mine (2015) honks overtime. It's due to go in to dealer for servicing soon. I'm going to ask them about it. It's a problem at times. thanks for the input.

Perhaps it should not be too surprising that they "bark". Otters are in the Order Carnivora, the same as Dogs, Cats, Bears. Good thing it did not "roar" like a big cat or bear. Have fun in nature.

Nice picture. He does not look happy. I always lock the door before I close it.
