In 1906, the sprawling burg of Rhyolite, Nevada was home to 10,000 residents. The Cook's Bank Building cost $90,000 in 1906 to build. By 1910, mines were played out, the market had collapsed and only 600 people remained in the town. Bits of the interior were sold off the same year, and the structure started collapsing.

Everything we own (or build) will eventually wind up in the trash.
Its our fate - - BUT - - striking that Rhyolite only survived 4 years.
