I took this last summer using a Nikon D7100, 18-200mm Nikon lens set at 24mm and f3.7, approx 5 minute exposure using Firecrest ND4.8 (-16 stop) filter. Some post work in cleaning up noise etc. Would like to improve my skills in this type of photography, any comments, suggestions or critic's are gladly welcomed. Thanks for looking.

Excellent photo...
Went back and looked at the photo a second time in download, notice a mighty long bridge in the background. I like how it is kinda the dividing point of your horizon ...

Pat, Thank you, I split my time between Iowa and New Orleans, the photo was taken in N.O.

Yes i was able to get up on some higher ground (with some help from my friend, as I am in a wheelchair) so that i could position the bridge in the back to give me a dividing line. I am trying to be more aware of other things in my backgrounds so it adds to, rather than distracts. In this case it was easy and very useful.

Thanks all.. all your comments are appreciated. You might want to give this a try, can get some really cool looking shots from drab skies etc.
I prefer B&W photos but have seen some great color long exposure photos. I'm going to keep working at it.
