Better late than never...
I retired in February and am now paying more attention to what I shoot. I have taken a few classes, and my focus is on taking the best possible pictures I can with the least possible equipment to carry. Currently I am using a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS50. Peg
Really Nice... in all respects.
If you are going to be a photographer you must look the part. At least 3 cameras on your shoulder,a huge camera bag ,couple of tripods, camcorder and a helper to pick you up when you fall.
I have a friend (Retired Doctor) who was a great photographer in his younger days. Did his own processing etc. Got tired of all the hassle, bought himself a small camera that fits in pocket and enjoys photography so much more. It's not the equipment,it's the person that counts.
So have fun and do it to please yourself not others.
Nice photo, welcome to the forum.

Welcome to UHH and to retirement.
A really nice photo! I've down sized on the equipment also, no regrets here.
Looks like an English Springer...is it?
