WOW Wayne........you have really done a masterful job in PP to enhance these photos. What program are you using? You could work at an ad agency doing this professionally!
Excellent work. I do this by duplicating a layer normally I would use Portrait Pro to do the eyes and mouth then back in Photoshop use a layer mask and reveal only the eyes and mouth make a stamp layer then use the action for frequency separation.

Yup, nothing like it...great job!
He said it, Frequency Seperation...allows you to separate the Texture of an image from the tone and Color...

Thank you OnDSnap, this is the information I was looking for. Also available for Affinity:
https://vimeo.com/130965888Also in Paintshop Pro since X8... "FS is often used for retouching portraits as it separates the texture from the color tones allowing you to smooth out shading and color much easier than most other methods. Texture / defects are fixed without any tonal shifts so you end up with a much cleaner result in the end with natural texture preserved." Stepwise in PSPro.

I’m not a big fan of Portrait Pro, it tends to distort the shape of the face and sometime it gets confused and doesn’t know what to do.
Usually I will remove any defects on the face or body that are temporary such as cuts, scrapes, pimples etc. I will leave permanent things such as scars, molds, birthmarks, etc. Unless the subject wants something else. I did several sessions with this young lady and she wanted everything removed.
Very nice work, Wayne. I'm a big advocate of FS. It's far better than Portrait Professional, and free within PS.
