Still have two of my old bodies, quite a few lenses and other accessories. Worked mine pretty hard. Mounted them on helicopters for in-flight data recording. Never had a problem with Nikon's, even when I had them mounted on the rotor head.

So, THAT's what they mean by "Brassing!" It is a true classic. I bef only a few under age 50 Hogs even can conceive of what a "Coupled" meter is and what an innovation it was.
