Excellent photos, and if you don't know how to SCUBA dive that's the place to learn, Gab Gab has some nice spots. along with the Japanese seaplane, so many places for great diving and photos. enjoy

I recently moved to Guam for my newest duty station. It's similar to Hawaii in some ways, but definitely has it's own culture and feel. There is quite a bit of history here, from the Japanese and Americans in WWII, the Spanish from the mid 1500s through 1898, to the ancient Chamorro (the original inhabitants of Guam). Here is a sunset from a bridge the Spanish built as part of an incomplete road that was supposed to run from their main seaport of Umatac in Southern Guam, to their capital, Hagåtña, in central Guam. The second picture was taken just on the other side of the bridge. I'll try to post a few more pictures I've taken since moving here over the next few days. I edited these a little in Lightroom, with my limited knowledge and ability. Please feel free to comment on what I could do better, either in Lightroom, or with the picture in general.

Inspiring and breathtaking images,Trygve. Although the Spaniards may have wanted a bridge, seems nothing gets in the way of the natural foliage. A striking scene with the colors reflected in the water under the bridge.

Love the ethereal look to them but may I suggest toning down the HDR a bit. just a bit over saturated - the greens are too yellow. Just my personal opinion - still a beautiful setting. Would love to see the images as captured right out of the camera.

Very nice photos. Please post more!

I was stationed at NAS Agana in 1959 as an AT-2 in Photo Squadron 61. We had AJ-2P Savages, but transitioned to AD-3Ps. I retired in 1981 as an LCDR (Mustang). Enjoy your tour.
Cheers,
Don

Those are beautiful. I have two cousins that spent a lot of time on Guam but neither of them were doing much photography.

I'm glad someone mentioned the horizon. I always think it's my astigmatism and not the actual image that's at fault!

Keep them coming!
