Welcome to Day 196 :) Sorry about the mixup yesterday y'all .... I totally blame it on Friday the 13th hahhahahha.
Ok so now to get back on track .. or backtrack as the case may be LOL .... Today it's all about Animal Sculptures. :)
I had to do a quick search of the archives .. so some of these are not that great ...I tried to find a couple I have not posted ... and by looking you can see why hahahha. Here are a few examples to get us started .. I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.

Whitewitch because you know about fold forming and also because today is suppose to be jewelry day i don't feel bad showing these to you... i'm trying to conquer this art from... but what i really like is beating the silver with a hammer for hours and hours...
the first image was actually my first attempt it came out the way i wanted but its so sharp that no one could wear it.. the others are more reasonable attempts... after the second one which is almost 4oz of silver i have changed to copper to lean my craft... thanks for knowing about fold forming, i don't have anyone here that knows or cares what about what I'm trying to learn... ... keep smiling

Nice pieces. I first learned of a more crude form of folding. WWII watch sailors would hit a silver quarter with a spoon , turning and tapping as they watched. Then they would then carve out the center, ending up with a ring that had the united states and the year on the inside rim. I tried w a new quarter but the copper is really hard.

Statues, let alone animal statues or sculpture are not in my usual "sight line". Here are some I found - most from this week.
One bee in a group of sculpted bees in Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens
Metal caterpillar or centipede? in a garden on Mt. Desert Island, ME
Musical friend's one eyed blue frog
Been on a rock in mother-in-law's community park for years and years.
Grandson spied this one (he loves these photo scavenger hunts)
I hate snakes, but had to admit this "statue" was unique and fit right into this person's garden.
