I never said his comments carried any authority other than being his. I asked whether anyone could disprove or refute his statements.
If you told me you are currently a sanitation worker, it would have no bearing on my response to your comments. Your position in life is of no concern to me with respect to your writing and opinion. Perhaps Mr. Caruba doesn’t have the best credentials for political commentary but who among us does? He is capable of making a point without using phrases like “Sit on it”.

What I do say is that many (not all) of the points he makes are valid. For example: "He outmaneuvered Hillary Clinton in primaries. He took Iowa by storm. A charming young man, an anomaly in the state with a very small black population, he oozed "cool" in a place where agriculture was the antithesis of cool. He dazzled the locals. And he had an army of volunteers drawn to a charisma that hid any real substance”. I feel this is true, while I disagree with many of Mrs. Clinton’s views I firmly believe she would have been the better choice. McCain was never a contender due to the fervor to elect the "first black president" so we have Obama shoved down our throats. Obama’s inability to speak without a teleprompter and his attempts to “wish away” major problems are something of a joke on both sides of the aisle within the beltway.

I will also suggest to you that a rumor exists that there will be an attempt at the Democrat convention to replace Obama with Clinton as the candidate. I will also suggest that if that happens the Democrats will win.

The libs on here consistently trash the person being quoted and then fail to engage in any real discussion of the claims being made.

Very well written but see no point in bringing up foolishness from the past, the bit ref the teleprompter. Granted he struggled but getting accustomed to speaking before the WORLD takes a bit, could you have swept out on thte stage and done it without a flaw.

Using Hillary as a replacement, don't see that happening. Democrats will be victorious with Obama going back in.
Can't see Hillary as President, the country has been struggling to reach a level of normalcy with President Obama. Can you imagine how these fools would react to a woman as President?

The thing the continues to amaze me is that all these haters, yes haters NOT necessarily racists but simply haters will read a blog like Scopes or others, hear some idiot like Limbaugh or watch that bunch of certifiably stupid talking heads on Fox and use their lies and rubbish to fuel their hatred. It's amazing that a large portion of the folks, before making the effort to research a bit of information, will let someone like those mentioned think for them.

This is worth another time around. . .
Mad at the President????
PASSING ON...........................
Now, since Obama's regime, all of a sudden, folks have gotten mad, and want to take America Back...BACK TO WHAT or WHERE is my question?

I am voting for PRESIDENT OBAMA no matter what. He should get 8 years in term, because he IS CHANGING America and we all know why THEY
don't like it! If Obama wasn't Black, they would be praising and thanking him.

After The 8 Years Of The Bush/Cheney Disaster, Now You Get Mad?

You didn't get mad when the Supreme Court stopped a legal recount and appointed a President.

You didn't get mad when Cheney allowed Energy company officials to dictate Energy policy and push us to invade Iraq.

You didn't get mad when we illegally invaded a country that posed no threat to us.

You didn't get mad when we spent over 800 billion (and counting) on said illegal war.

You didn't get mad when Bush borrowed more money from foreign sources than the previous 42 Presidents combined.

You didn't get mad when over 10 billion dollars in cash just disappeared in Iraq.

You didn't get mad when Bush embraced trade and outsourcing policies that shipped 6 million American jobs out of the country.

You didn't get mad when they didn't catch Bin Laden.

You didn't get mad when Bush rang up 10 trillion dollars in combined budget and current account deficits.

You didn't get mad when you saw the horrible conditions at Walter Reed.

You didn't get mad when we let a major US city, New Orleans, drown.

You didn't get mad when we gave people who had more money than they could spend, the 1%, over a trillion dollars in tax breaks.

You didn't get mad with the worst 8 years of job creations in several decades.

You didn't get mad when over 200,000 US Citizens lost their lives because they had no health insurance.

You didn't get mad when lack of oversight and regulations from the Bush Administration caused US Citizens to lose 12 trillion dollars
in investments, retirement, and home values.

You finally got mad when a black man was elected President and decided that people in America deserved the right to see a doctor if
they are sick. Yes, illegal wars, lies, corruption, torture, job losses by the millions, stealing your tax dollars to make the rich richer, and
the worst economic disaster since 1929 are all okay with you, but helping fellow Americans who are sick...

Oh, Hell No! PLEEEASE----circulate this everywhere---people need to be reminded!!!! 2012 is a good year for them to remember! Let's
get as passionate about re-electing our wonderful hard working President Obama as we were when we got him elected! Don't get complacent and don't take
for granted he will easily be back in office. Let's all get busy starting the work today!!!!

Give this MAN credit where credit is due. Black folks stop thinking just because we have a Black President that you were entitled to something without working
for it! (Did you think because we got a Black President 4 years ago, you were going to get a check in the mail for $100k or something, maybe the 40 acres and a
mule...come on....get real!)

Make a difference Get educated, stop complaining and get back on track to preserving our race and represent like The Obama's. Do your part!
VOTE Obama 2012. Spread the word.
We have to get out and VOTE like we did 4 years ago...if we want to keep the Obama in office. Don't think for one minute that your Vote doesn't count!

Wow!!!! Brilliant. People need to be reminded just how bad a president Bush was, and in so many ways. There is no way any president could undo everything in just four years, even if he or she had a totally cooperative Congress. I think what Obama has been able to accomplish is nothing short of miraculous.

No No, I don't hate any of them also I don't think what I said was railing against them, I think I was really pretty easy on them. I would say I pity them but stupidity does not warrant Pity. What they preach is intentional statements of hatred not something said out of confusion.

You know Guy it took God 7 days to make it, took Bush 8 years to break it now be a bit patient with President Obama, he's only had 3 years so far, but it's coming together.

From an outsider looking in... "WAKE UP AMERICA" you were CONNED by a community organizer who couldn't organize his way out of a brown paper bag.. JFK had it right, "My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

I observe simplicity of thought, jump-step analysis, concisely expressed in as few words as possible often in incomplete sentences with incomplete thoughts by those who are conserving mental effort. These infantile tirades follow a bevy of quotes from others and express little of interest and convey a deep born hate and frustration. They fear the fact that there is one of “them” in the white-House and expect the “wetback greasers” to self-deport before they comprise half of our population! These people who conserve brain energy are proof that one a day vitamins have failed and that our education system is lacking in teaching critical analysis. Certainly, that the English department has failed to teach writing a short thesis let alone a expressive paragraph!

Food for Thought:
Strange is it not, that the Republicans agree with Marx’s comments that “society is shaped by the dominant capitalist class, the owners of production”

I fully expect to here the song “ Ain’t we got fun?” as the Theme-Song played at the Tampa Republican Convention.
“They’ve cut my wages But my income tax will be so much smaller
When I’m paid off, I’ll be laid off Ain’t we got fun?
The Rich get Richer, the Poor get Poorer....”

Indeed Our middle-class has gotten poorer and the upper class much richer under the paid for republican baby-bush administration.... simple fact, not an opinion

The problem is that from the other side of the room you talk like a "hater". It is all a matter of perspective. I would never refer to someone else as “stupid” because I do some pretty damn stupid things myself, all the time. I do agree with you that there is far too much hate in this country. We need discussion not insults being hurled back and forth.

As far a Clinton is concerned, the office of President of The United States of America is too important to be held by a race, sex, or ideology. When he took office Obama gave up the right to be a 'black' man. Clinton will give up the right to be a woman if she ever gets there. People who cannot focus on the person and ignore the side tracks like he is black, or he can't speak in public, are the ones who are truly haters. They exist on both sides. Remember all the nasty remarks about how stupid Bush was. Sometimes his speach was no better than a 4th grader.

If you step back, look and listen to Obama with an open mind you see that he has a problem with telling the truth. That would account for his problem speaking in public. For example: He appeared before a Hispanic group and told them how he was on their side and he is fixing the illegal immigration situation in their favor. Giving them amnesty does not make them citizens. At the same time his lawyers were fighting to get his health care bill approved. A bill, that says in plain English that you must be a legal citizen of the U.S. and prove it. Both of those stories can’t be true at the same time.

To answer your question: I am paid to give speeches, and yes I can walk out on a stage and do it flawlessly. I never use notes or prompters. I can do that because I only speak about what I know and what I truly believe.

The terms "one of them" and wetback greasers" have only been used by you. I haven't seen anyone else stoop to such a low level. Apparently your memory is fairly selective. The level of hate reached during the Bush years make today look like a balmy spring day. Some of the most despicable remarks made at the time came from the Democrat leadership.

CanonJC is totally wrong. People did get angry over the things he listed. How do you think we ended up with Obama? Why do you think George Bush is now listed as the most hated American President? Perhaps you should remove those rose colored glasses.

When you are unable to think for yourself it is much easier to have someone think for you.
