Experimenting with Linda's Approach

I spent several hours today experimenting some more. This time I followed some tips from Linda that helped....a lot! In many ways it was easier to isolate an image on a new background than using the selection tools first before adding the background. I feel like I have options for achieving similar goals. See what you think. The hummingbird looked fine on its original dark background, but I thought I'd try putting it on a new one. It was one of my earlier attempts, and I didn't clean up the edges as well as I might - part of the learning experience I guess.
