Welcome. The D200 has been a good camera since it came out in 2005. Very capable camera. We'll look forward to seeing some photos from you.

The D200 is an excellent camera considering the technology at the time. The images have the first generation color by Nikon which are pastel like.
Its sensor and firmware are similar to those in the D2X.

I spent many years in the army in St.petersburg, VA. I like Nikon Gear.

The VA-Carolina border offers some great opportunities for photos from the Ocean to the mountains. I spent many enjoyable days fishing and photographing J H Kerr Reservoir near South Hill and almost was transferred to Norton in the far west corner. All really pretty country.

I started in digital photography with the D200. Love the camera. I bought a refurb D200 as a backup and a week later broke the top LCD on the original camera. I've since bought a D7100 and am still trying to get as good photo's from it as I get from the D200.

Welcome to the forum. I also have a D200, and have taken some very good images with it throughout the years. It's a keeper!
