His Eye is on the Sparrow...

I was taking some 'backyard bird' photos today and got a shot of this sparrow when he landed on my bamboo prop. After viewing the image I thought about these verses in Matthew.
Matthew 10:29-31 (NIV)
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father's care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
Even though we know it, we sometimes forget just how much the Lord truly loves and cares for us....

I am daily overwhelmed by the beauty and majesty of creation...particularly those things we tend to take for granted. Even a lowly sparrow is blessed with the miracles of life, sight, flight, and being. I try every day to give thanks for the innumerable blessings I have received from the Lord, and particularly the ones I don't even know about! God bless you!

His eye, and now ours! Great photo! I love the way the bokeh matches the overall color scheme, and the branch is just perfect: natural and not distracting.
