Mine is my Minolta AF 50mm f3.5 Macro. I love this lens for copying slides and general photography. It is wicked sharp, no matter the f stop. A close contender is my 50mm Pentax Takumar f1.4 SMC which I use in low light and portrait work.

I have been very impressed with the Pentax 55 F2 SMC Takumar and the Minolta 58mm f1.2 MC !

Sony 50 1.4. Is this the Minolta 50 1.4 under a different name?

Mine is a Fuji 56mm 1.2. Great for low light portraits.

The Sony is a copy of the Minolta. I think that most would find it identical in use, but for some reason, many more seem to prefer the Minolta. Maybe it is a cost thing.

My favorite is the Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D, and the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G

Without a doubt the Sigma 50mm F1.4 ART lens.

Nothing but great reviews about that lens. No wonder that it's your favorite.

I own three 50mm primes, all Olympus film era lenses.
50mm f3.5 macro, 50mm f1.8 and 50mm f1.4.

I have a 55mm/3.5 Takumar that I really like, because of the image quality it produces and I about equally like my Pentax SMC 55mm/2.8!

I love my 45mm F2.8 PC-E - it's in a class of it's own, even though it is not exactly between 50 and 55 mm.

I like my Tamron 45mm f/1.8 SP VC lens. Not many primes lenses have stabilization. The vibration compensation helps out when it's not practical to use a tripod. It also has a metal lens barrel and is fully weather sealed. I won't purchase a lens if it doesn't have a weather seal at the lens mount.
