Cast my eyes

On December 21 I had a fall and ruptured the corneal graft in my right eye (which was my good eye), lost the fluid and damaged the iris and retina. I was flown the Portland for surgery where they saved the eye globe but couldn't save my sight. Also I only have 20/100 in my left eye. On Christmas my wife tearfully gave me a new lens for my camera. She felt really bad and thought it was kind of a tease.
However 20/100 may be poor vision but it's not NO vision so when I was able to go outside again I took this picture of Mt. Shasta in our yard with my new lens. It's no masterpiece but it sure is important to her. It also reminds me that we don't need human eyes to cast upon the Lord but Spiritual ones.
I am also exceedingly thankful for Auto focus and VR

Psalm 121:1&2
I will lift up my eyes to the hills
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.

Touching story, we can always find some thing to be thankful for, we just have look around for the positive and not dwell on the negative.

Thank you.
Yep, everything in our life is blessed by God. And Romans 8:28 is my favorite verse "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

I have in the past called this attitude such as you have, and "Amazing Grace" attitude. To rest in Him after experiencing your fall with all the consequences and to go forward in such a way is a fine example of resting in His grace and love. Praise to Him! And thank you for living it my Brother in Christ. Your shot is quite good so keep on keeping on with the auto focus and keep posting. Sandy

I like what you said and will use it in my family.
My father went blind in both eyes over two weeks when he was 74 from a disease process. He was very depressed for about 2 months. Then he told that God encouraged him try to do all the things he had done before except drive. He said that included fishing. He was a champion fisherman. He lived to the age of 83.

Thank you all!!! You give me great inspiration!!! I am going to see the eye doc on Thursday and we are going to start serious work on my left eye to see if we can get it any better. I've already had 4 corneal transplants but it's possible to have a fifth and maybe get better vision. But we'll see (no pun intended).
Meanwhile I feel blessed right now to have what I have and my desire to take pictures has only grown.
Thanks again everyone
God bless you all!!

Can't tell you how many times this verse has been true in my life. GOD is ALWAYS FAITHFUL. And what a wonderful view you have from your yard.

Thank you Red. Yes I have a wonderful place to live. That's a 300mm pic so it's a close up (the first pic I took with my Christmas present, a 70-300 vr) but even at normal view it's a beautiful view. I'm so blessed, but I really don't deserve it. You are right: God is always faithful even when I fail.
