.....Another Sun Image

I am ready for clear skies and whoa and more whoa - they have arrived. The sun kit is on left the deep space on the right. Throw 360 Gizmos on them when not using and image in between time. Oh how I like my new sky view from our new home. The landscapers are working in our backyard today (planting plants on the hill).....right behind the kit on the right ..up on the hill they will be digging out a platform - pouring concrete 6x7 slab and setting two piers in slab. Hopefully by next week the work will be done. Our HOA just approved outbuildings....so I hope to have a roll off roof outbuidomg in place by this summer. Money money money. This was something I had pretty much given up on ever having.

I took the sun image Sunday afternoon - lots of activity on the surface. I still have not taken the time to process the surface correctly (still using the "difference" blending mode which gives a phony inverted look to it) the data is there but the processor (me) is lacking some processing skills.... but I will figure out a repeatable workflow and make a PS action out of it. SOOON!

Your prominences are a bit blown out.
I try to get my live view to just barely show the proms because they will get pulled out during processing.
You’re starting off strong and you’re doing a great job.
Well done.

Sounds like good advice - but I get greedy and the more I add gain (exposure) and gamma - the more surface action I see.....so pulling back is a discipline I must yet learn :)

Setup is starting to look good. Have you got permission to lop the tops off some of those surrounding trees!?

I may have to do some night pruning~so far they reach 20 deg alt so I am not bothered by them. The piers will be place at the top of the hill in the back of the yard - a platform is in the works in fact it is going to be dug out this weekend (weather permitting). Two piers are going into the ground (cement) one for my Atlas Pro and one for AVX. I have a few trees due north but they will not grow any higher and they too are at 25 degree range. That's it. I have a clear view of the sky 360 from 30 degrees which is the lowest I will image.
