I already know what kind of responses I'll get, but I'm asking anyway. I found that using the Apple mouse with my iMac 21.5" was hit or miss. I'd often have to hit the left or right side of the mouse more than once to get a response. I'm now using a Logitech wireless, and it's a lot better. Still, it's isn't nearly as good as on my Windows desktop. On a Windows computer, clicking either right or left give me instant, perfect results. With the iMac, it's still hit or miss. Has anyone else noticed the imprecision of a mouse with an Apple? The same thing applies to my iMac 27" (Now there's an image - a mouse with an apple. )

And why do they have to call it a 21.5"?

I'm a Windows dude but I'm the local computer "free guru" in my condo community. I receive frequent requests for help and enjoy the task. Last month my neighbor called and said her Mac mouse was not working. I grabbed my wired mouse, connected it and indicated the cost was $12 and that I'd be happy ordering one for her via my Amazon Prime membership. It arrived in two days. She's a happy camper again. I do not like Apple mice. I also do not like wireless mice. I do use a wireless keyboard. A bit old fashioned, but to be interrupted because of a failed battery is not a preference for me. I don't mind wires.

I have an Apple mouse, right click and left click work perfectly, and I’ve never had a minute’s trouble with it. Had it since 2010.

21" is not enough and 22" would be lying. If you are writing about the Apple "Magic Mouse", yes it is twitchy. And you have to turn off the many gestures that will confound you to no end. And what is "Natural" about Natural Scrolling? Granted it may be natural to those kids who started with small devices like phones or tablets.

I use wireless mice on everything - desktops, laptops, Kindle, and Chromebook. The batteries seem to last forever. I didn't like the small wireless Apple keyboard. It seems like I was always replacing the batteries in that. I got the large wired keyboard with the numeric keypad and Backspace key.

Jerry I have never had a problem with my Apple Magic Mouse other than being over sensitive at times, right click and left click are great.

Well Jerry, I have had some problems but only after the mouse was pretty much worn out. I like the Magic Mouse that came with the iMac 27 that have the rechargeable battery in them. It lasts about two months before it needs a charge. The previous Magic Mouse with the double A battery was the most finicky one we had but the clicks seemed to work fine. I prefer the wireless to the wired ones, I use a Lenovo laptop with a wired mouse (because the trackpads on the Windows laptops are such crap compared to an Apple trackpad) and it works fine but no better no worse than my Apple wireless ones.

It sounds like you have one that you either need to adjust the sensitivity settings in preferences or replace it with a new one.

And I see that Apple has finally came out with a wireless keyboard with a number keypad, I think I will have to get one of them.

The only problem that I have had with the Apple mouse is that sometimes it works backward.. But I turn it over and all is well...

Sounds good Jerry - I opted for the Logitech keyboard - it charges though Imac USB and the keys light up when hovered over - glad I made the switch.

I have an intermittent same problem with the Apple Magic Mouse - If it does not connect immediately then it seems to go into freefall search mode with the blinking green light going berserk - using the intuition you build up after many years of computer frustration I just switch off the mouse and then switch on again and it is recognised almost instantly.
