Hello again everyone at UHH. I had posted back in May of this year that I had returned from shoulder surgery and was in therapy. All was going well then it went the wrong direction. Again the pain started increasing so therapy was suspended. After another MRI it was discovered that part of one the two repaired shoulder tendons had not healed properly and had another tear in the unhealed section. So I endured another surgery in August of this year. They found quite a bit of irritation in the joint, plus one of the anchors from the previous surgery had somehow backed out somewhat and the anchor head was sticking up too high. They fixed that issue and placed a band around the unhealed tendon which was separating, did some other work and back to therapy. I since then have gotten another steroid injection to calm things down. Now that I'm done with therapy I can now hold up my camera without terrible pain to start shooting again. So today is the first time in quite a while I've posted some images. It sure is good to be back!!

Thanks Sylvias...sounds like you know the pain. This was my fifth shoulder surgery overall...fourth on my left side. Finally but sloooooowly getting better. At least I can hold the camera up without grinding my teeth because of the pain. ....interesting as I see your location....I was watching a documentary a while back about Peter Sutcliffe known as the Yorkshire Ripper. Was this in your area? That would have been really scary having a maniac running around!!

I had shoulder problems for many years after a horse riding accident. Injections, manipulations until I couldn’t move my arm. All to do with the rotary cuff. Went to surgery they cut the tendons on the inside of my elbow to make movement better and chiselled bone away in my shoulder amongst other things. It seemed to take forever to regain full movement.
Now I have no problems, exercise is the best, so keep shooting!

Good to hear you recovered from your orthopedic issue. It does take a while to heal but as you say keep shooting....it is good medicine!

I feel for you. Shoulder surgery can be very painful. It seems that no matter what you do your shoulder is somehow involved. Sleeping can really be a problem. Therapy can help a lot. It might be a good idea to continue some of your exercises around the house for a while. I had a shoulder problem and was able to solve it with therapy only. Even today, 2 years later, I will still do a stretching exercise once in a while just to test it. Welcome back

Thanks Tracy. My previous shoulder issues were bone spurs and general clean up of the joint. Then I tore one of the rotator cuffs and the bicep tendon. Surgery for that and then part of the rotator cuff didn't heal properly, one of the anchors had partially backed out, and another smaller tear. Therapy got my range of motion back the the pain level has not dropped much so I received an injection which has helped some.

Hello...yes sleeping has been a real issue. This being my fifth over all (four on the left) shoulder surgery I'm ready to feel good again. Previously the problems were bone spurs and general clean up of the joint to make more room. Last year while weight lifting I tore one rotator cuff and the bicep tendon. Surgery for that but halfway through therapy the range of motion started to decrease and pain level increase. MRI indicated part of the rotator cuff did not heal properly. Another surgery revealed a partial tear in the unhealed portion, tons of inflammation, a repair anchor which had partially backed out and cuff tendon separation which had a surgical band placed around it. Back to therapy and a steroid injection. Now two years later I'm finally feeling like I can function fairly normal again. Not totally pain free but do exercises at home and expect to return to the gym early next year. Thanks for your reply.
