Anyone else getting bogus virus warnings when they are looking at this site?

What do the warnings say? When do they pop up? Are you using a virus/malware protection app?

No and if you do you most likely have malware on your computer somewhere, it can come from downloading programs, e-mails or even downloading pictures, Sometimes it will be in the browser you are using.

It's a full screen notice that pops up that looks like it is or says it's from Google. It is not. It says I am infected because I have been looking at adult sites. I do not look at adult sites. This is on my phone which is an Android. I do not do much web surfing with my phone.

I just received the same warning tonight for the first time on my Android phone. Noticed that the web site I was trying to go to (not uglyhedgehog) was highjacked and it was trying to go somewhere else. I immediately shut the phone off until I got home. I was using the Chrome Browser and I immediately uninstalled all the updates. I am using Norton Security Mobile and its not reporting any virus. Temporarily downloaded McAfee and ran it. No problems found again. I may try some other anti-virus programs.

Because it’s most likely a hoax. There is most likely no virus (is the phone still working?). The scammer just hopes you’ll call and pony up $. Now if the machine actually develops a problem that jeopardizes important data, then I may have a different opinion. I have received such warnings, and I just closed the window without further issues.

The phone is still working. I have restored all the Chrome updates, and the phone seems to be working perfectly now.

And also, I do not store ANY important data on the cell phone. Don't want to risk what I have to do if I were to lose the phone.

I completely agree. That is exactly what I do. I actually have to close the Gmail app completely. Trying to close the window does not close it. I know that it's a hoax, but I'm only seeing it when I'm looking at the posts on the uhh site. Just wanted to alert them in case there is a compromise in the site.

I had a similar problem with pop ups on the uhh site last year (and notified admin). Oddly, it only happened with Safari, not Firefox or Chrome. Didn't ever determine conclusively whether it was the browser or The site, but ultimately it disappeared without any lasting damage.

Could you please PM me a screenshot of what you see? I'll investigate.

Sorry. I can't do anything but scroll back to close the app (Gmail). It is a full screen official looking message which identifies my phone, Moto x Android and says I have four viruses from visiting adult sites and the phone is damaged. I don't do adult sites and the phone is fine.

Same message I was seeing. And I also don't visit adult sites.
