Hi all:

I admit I have an ulterior motive for this challenge. I took this image yesterday at Glacier National Park, where the subject matter was stunning and the sky was overcast and flat! I believe there are probably a number of ways to improve this image, and I've tried a bunch of them in Luminar 2018 and PS, but the results have been quite unsatisfactory. Now I'm calling on all the creative post-processors out there to use their magic and improve this image. Naturally, I am using this as a learning experience for my own PP methods, but I thought it might be fun to see how others view this image and what can be done with it creatively. I admit that it will probably never be a "hanger" but I'd be interested to see what magic can actually be done with a marginal image and great PP skills. Have fun, and thanks in advance for participating. And if you think the picture sucks, please keep it to yourself! ;-)

This is the .nef file saved as a .jpg with no PP applied. This is getting complicated... :-(

Okay, I am just getting started in Lightroom so not the best....but I was intrigued by the rocks in the foreground and wanted to highlight them a little. This was fun and let me get some practice so thanks!

Thanks for working on this - I like the vignette effect and the highlights on the rocks.

this is a beautiful shot. Just needs slight tweaking, with contrast and vibrance. I love reflections. What mountains are these?
I cannot wait to see what your post processing result.

lots of possibilities with this image. It did take a long time to upload for some reason.

Wow - your processing really highlighted the reflection in the water! I like it ;)

Hey Tommy nice image, being a jpg there's not as much latitude to work with as the raw file but, here's what I got.

Great fun playing with your work! The first one is using Aurora, and the second one with Luminar. Thanks for the "practice"!

You didn't post the images, it's the path to the files on your computer.

If you shoot a lot of landscapes, do yourself a favor and download a trial of Landscape Pro. You can’t save your work, but it will tell you if you like the software. It is available in three versions, and I opted for middle (Studio) option. I don’t think it does anything you can’t do in PS, but it’s much easier to get great results.
