If it is indeed the 150-500mm lens, it will NOT work with the Sigma docking station. The 150-600 mm lens will.
Given the price, I suspect it is the former.

I owned the 150-500 and loved it. Similar situation so I had to sell it to a future Eagle Scout for a great price. I still long for that lens. I once shot hand held a practice shot of a mailbox 400 yards away and could read the address on a 100% crop.
