A Hidden Downside to sleeping with your High School Teacher

Every other week, a story seems to crop up about sexual relations between high school teachers and students. When the teacher is male, and the student female or both are the same sex, it always receives universal condemnation. When it happens between female teacher and a male student, it often gets at least a tacit seal of approval. Let me share my story with the attic dwellers. When I was 15 and towards the end of my sophomore year in high school, I began an affair with a woman teacher who was well into her forties. At the time, it seemed the perfect setup for both of us. Her rich, much older diabetic husband could no longer "perform" and I was a convenient outlet for her urges. Being that she was a music teacher and I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket, much less "tickle the ivories", there was no chance of my performing in her class. With her, I stuck to playing the "slit trombone" behind closed doors. She lived one town over, and it was easy for me to get to her via bicycle or commuter railroad where she rented a motel room for the occasion. By the time I reached my junior year, I pretty much was a "latchkey" kid as both my parents went on frequent business trips, leaving me alone in the house with prepared food, as well as the keys to the car, once I had my license. It lasted as long as it did, because I didn't want to ruin what seemed to be a good thing, and I kept my mouth shut. Now come the negatives. Due to her I had no normal dating experience during high school. IHMO, trying to chat up and getting to second base with a girl my own age was like skiing the bunny slope after mastering the black diamond trail, or sailing a Sunfish after winning the America's Cup. I didn't even mind the Gay rumors that circulated about me because I showed no interest in the dating scene. Once I went off to college, and she went off to find my replacement, I felt the downside. Lacking any actual dating experience, I felt so socially awkward, that it was almost 2 years before I got up the courage to ask a classmate for a date. As for her, things turned out worse. Unlike me, her replacement suffered from "diarrhea of the mouth", resulting in her divorce and termination. In the end, I gave up much more than my virginity to her. Would have been nice to have enjoyed the simple pleasures of "sailing a Sunfish on Lake Winnebago

Shutterbug, I truly understand where you're coming from and I somewhat generalized your story to relate it to other circumstances.

Every action has consequences. The immediate ones are usually the expected ones that you are looking for.
But eventually the chain of events that are caused from the original action often lead to unintended results which can be far worse than the ones you wanted in the first place.
My wife often gets so irritated at me because I think through all of the things that may result from performing one task.
She is looking for that immediate satisfaction while I am figuring out the best way to do the task without having to redo it because it didn't work right the first time.
Then there is the situation where one person uses another to get that immediate satisfaction when the person being used doesn't have the experience to look ahead for the unintended consequences and alter what they are doing to change the future.

Shutterbugsailer, don't even try to get any sympathy. You were a kid who for at least 4 years got laid on a regular basis with no strings attached.

It was just over 2 years. Not looking for sympathy, but just presenting an alternate viewpoint. Looking back, I would not have wanted her locked up for her actions, just removed from teaching. In the end, she was the one who "faced the music"

I think the need for immediate satisfaction applied to the both of us. I traded the opportunity to develop socially in the normal fashion for getting my rocks off. She traded sitting in the lap of luxury and sharing her love of music with young people for sitting on my face

Nice to know you support child molesting. Gives me the appropriate perspective for some of your postings.

Funny you should mention that. It's where I met your Mom.

You're another one who doesn't understand the difference between males and females. If a male teacher was having sex with a 15 year old female, then immediate jail time, but in the case of the male 15 year old, who could "get it up" with an older woman, no real harm was done.

I'm pretty sure you mean well, and when I was in high school I agreed with what you are saying, but you are wrong.
