I took a friend out last Friday to do some photography of airliners on approach to Denver's Airport. He has a new camera and was looking for some pointers. The best spot we could find was on the south side of the airport, looking in to the sun. I wasn't too impressed with what i saw but this shot caught my eye with the exhaust against a contrail in the distance. Again, the conditions weren't the best but this was a bit of a surprise. Thanks for looking!
Shot with a Canon T6s and a 100 - 400 mm "L" lens.
Who would have dreamed that we could generate lift by fixed wings, designed as an airfoil and they don't even have to move like a bird.
Except for a helicopter, or a propeller, consider a glider, that just floats like a soaring vulture or eagle. It is amazing to me.

The old Denver airport was fantastic because of the road that went past the very end of the runway. There was a parking area and the jets would come about 50 feet over your head. Not good for security I am sure......
Great catch. Hard to tell how far behind the aircraft the crossing contrail is. I suspect quite a bit higher.
