These are a few of the pictures I have taken that I thought looked good in B&W.
I like the 2nd one. The others I think would be better in color.
Nice photos. I especially like #2 in B&W.
First two are really nice. For the waterfall, I would try a graduated filter on the vegetation in the upper left to darken exposure, or crop it out completely. I really does detract from the rest of the image.
For the Panhandler, increase the shadows to bring out more of the details in his T-Shirt.
I hope you gave him some change?
Yes, they look good in b&w. I suggest adding more contrast to picture No.3.
I love the b&w look of old buildings, stark landscapes and other emotional subjects. Here's a couple I enjoyed making.

I really like number 2. They are all nice. I don't have post production skills, but number 2 is perfect as it is. IMHO.
