down here in Essex (by the River Thames) the sky was a weird yellowish colour and the clouds were exaggerated yesterday a bit like 3D clouds (16/10/2017) and anything red, ie brick work and red painted stuff was also exaggerated, expected the red "Martian" (LOL) Sahara sand this morning, but as yet nothing

On the South coast, I had to stop gardening at 2pm - it got so dark I couldn't see to dig under the trees!!
Good news was that it was so warm.....high 70's....but the clouds were a yellow and threatening. We got a little sand too
