I admit that I am not the brightest bulb in the UHH den but can any of you with your great wisdom tell me what the outcome would be if North Korea or some other nut case country managed to get a direct hit on the now bulging volcanic lake under Yellowstone?

More in a reality case, what would happen if Washington, D.C. took the nuke. First thought is to rejoice but in reality where would leave the American people? Who would take over besides the military and if so, who in the military would take dictator leadership.

If anything, it might delay an eruption. An eruption occurs when too much pressure builds up. A nuclear bomb might relieve the pressure.

Fortunately, we will never know for sure.
