I have used Mixbook 3 times and the color is great, good quality, good prices. Give them a try.

I've made 15-20 Shutterfly books. I make one for every hiking season, one for all grandkids' first year, one for every person who retires from work, and one every time I travel. It is easy to use and a nice consistent quality. Use the "customize" option if you like to place the photos yourself. Save the book and then wait for the first 40-50% off sale to buy it. They run those quite often. Love it!!!

Any opinions as to which sites have the best quality books?

Thank you.

I've made quite a few with Adoramapix. They have heavy p[aper and lay-flat "technology." Look for their frequent sales.

I've done several via MPix and have been extremely happy. The web interface is a bit clunky but once you get used to it, it's workable. Highly recommended.

I think you'll find Costco the best price for a quality product. Their software, however, is sometimes quirky on a Mac OS and Firefox.

Check out Adoramapix. They are my go-to site for photo printing. I also made a book that turned out beautifully. They have templates, which is a good place to start, and you can modify their "suggested" arrangement quite easily. Their standard cover is hard, not soft, and printable on the front and spine.

I have produced many many books. Blurb is hands down the best I've used. Innumerable options easy to learn.

MyPublisher used to be the best until Shutterfly bought them and then shut them down. I had done over 30 books with MyPublisher so then tried Shutterfly for one book. They enhance your images in two ways that I was unaware of. They color correct every image/photo you put in their book, but you can “globally” turn that off. When they reprinted my book it was better, BUT there is another enhancement they automatically apply that you can only turn off for each photo... no global control!! I produce press ready images for my books. These images are compliant with their press number of lines per inch which gives you the PPI and Color balance type, so I WON’T be printing any books with Shutterfly again. Currently I’m trying Blurb. I like their software, but we’ll see how the quality of their books are after it gets printed.

Shutterfly is good, I guess, for folks who don’t know how to color balance and res their photos, but they screwed up my book of 75 pages at 11X14 inch size lay flat book only once. Beware of their point and shoot enhancements..... Good luck.

I love Mixbook and have used it a lot. I've made books for each year of high school for my 3 kids. This site has a lot of graphics to pick from. They run specials quite often as well.

I’ve done two with Blurb and loved the results. Ease of use, quality, flexibility, “WOW” factor, all got “A++” from me.
