Took pics of my sisters golden. She wants a print and I don't know which one to send. Or should I send her both.

I agree with Angela. Number 2 is a more pleasing shot with personality!

Hi, boberic,
I’d send her both, but the next time there’s a visit, I’d suggest some more shots either from the dog’s eye level, or even from slightly below eye level. The nobility of the beast is better captured that way.

How is Autumn developing in Connecticut? I lived there as a kid and still miss New England Autumns.

Get down to the eye level of the dog to get some great shots.

I think I like the second shot the best. It is more intimate. The dog is looking toward the camera instead of away from it.

It's still a little early for fall colors. Should be better in about 2 or 3 weeks. In Vermont and New Hampshire peak is usually the 2nd week in October. All the leaf peepers descend around the 10th. Predictions are for a lesser color display due to the dry summer. Will post a few shots in the gallery section.

They are both nice shots of a beautiful golden, which makes me miss my own golden friend of so many years, Vanessa.

I do think I would tone down the oranges some in either or both for printing, you'll get more definition in the fur that way. You don't want the color to overwhelm her beauty.

Both are nice but I'd prefer #2 for that smile. And I agree....maybe tone down the oranges a bit before printing.

I concur - #2 without the fake tan look.
