We had our first opportunity to travel to Gettysburg recently. It is a very sobering place....We had beautiful weather while there and learned a lot about our country's history.

Nice! I had a similar somber experience visiting the American cemetery in Cambridge, England. Very moving.

Gettysburg has always been on my list to visit, even having visited the city of Pittsburgh more than once. I should have found time to go to that historic site from Pittsburgh. I loved your photos. Thanks for posting.

Gettysburg is a special place that every American should see at least once. I myself have been fortunate to visit Gettysburg three times over the years, the most recent was last year at this time.

Nice photos. I've been to Gettysburg several times and it is a truly unique place. We camped there once but never again, too creepy. If paranormal activity does exist, Gettysburg is one of its major locations.

Beautiful shots - it's been many, many years since my last visit to Gettysburg. Turns out we'll be going there in a couple weeks - our homeschooled grandkids are currently studying the Civil War.
