As a newbie I have been lurking and watching. Your kind response on photo editing programs was very helpful, so I gained the courage to share. A recent post about Kauai encouraged me to share some pictures from a June trip to Kauai. The island is a great photo op and I encourage pictures of things other than the usual Waimea Canyon (the Grand Canyon of Hawaii), Waimea Valley and Wailua Falls. Below are some pics of the old German Lutheran Church (open to visitors), an "unknown" swinging bridge and, my favorite, a couple of the wild chickens seen all over the island.

Love the shot through the arch. I have trouble doing those, as they never seem to turn out as nice as I hope. The bridge looks scary, but inviting at the same time. Lovely.

Kauai is heaven on earth. Spent ten days there for our 50th anniversary. The Sheraton upgraded us from partial ocean view, to ocean FRONT because our travel agent indicated we were celebrating our 50th. GREAT FACILITY, STAFF, and LOCATION!!!
