Priceless...

Once in a while a shot captures so much personally and this is one such shot for me. I took my granddaughter on her first real vacation in June and this was Day Three.....Mount St Helens Natl Volcanic Monument (MSHNVM)....my granddaughter hiking the Boundary Trail and ahead of her on the trail an old friend who helped make it all happen. The wildflowers were in bloom by then. Of note about this shot, both my granddaughter and my old friend are hiking with sticks they picked up while checking out tide pools the day before in the Yachats, OR area.

Looks like Vesuvius in miniature. I remember it whole. It was so beautiful 😓

Great shot. I remember her blowing her top (or rather the side) and the resulting carnage of the surrounding countryside, but that shot shows nothing but a beautiful vista.

That is a priceless photo! And beautiful as well! It is nice when a great photo not only reminds you that you were there, but when you can recall "WE were there"!
