With all of the advances in processing programs like PS and LR, what filters do you still carry with you and use and what filters have you stopped using?

I am scaling back to just polarizing and full neutral density. Any other thoughts?

I have three in the bag. One is a circular polarizer. One is a 3 stop ND for video. The last is a 10 stop ND for long exposures. None get much use.

I usually keep a UV on the lens for protection. The theory is that it degrades the image. But, I rather have something on the front I can clean with any rag handy.

Same CPL and ND for digital, although since I still shoot film occasionally, I have to admit I have at least half a dozen film era filters in my bag (K2, UV, #25Red, Orn, Grn, 81B, etc.) that fit some of my lenses.

Polarizer, 3 stop nd, big stopper, and 2 graduated nd filters got them handy but don't use very much

Typically a CPL, Graduated ND, and a UV, 1A, 1B, 0 on the lens(es). For some shots I remove the "protective" filter. When I shoot film I own a ton of 'em. Though I only carry the ones I think I will use. These days I only buy B+W (Schneider) German filters. Actually I use features or tricks in Ps CS6 more than I use glass filters.

In my every day bag, you will find a CPL and a 9 stop ND.

My bag always has a CP, ND10, ND 6 and Grad ND.

I carry a filter that makes the boring pointless questions seem half reasonable. I have to admit it does not work all that well.

Normally, I have several with me, a CPL, ND, A25, K2, X1 and an IR. Additionally, each lens has a UV filter when not using one of the others. All are B+W.

Yup, me too.... sorta. That is, I have CPL and 3 and 9 stop ND filters... but, seldom carry them and haven't used them in years... though sometimes think about it...

Stack of ND and IR. Polarized [for cross polarization stress and Crystal photos] and CP. Gradient. Also 10x and other like wide angle and fisheye. All of these 37mm for my Pocket camera Sony HX 50 and my Canon HS50. Pocket camera one side and a 37mm x 4" Tootsie Roll of Filters in the left pocket.... giving the ladies the wrong impression.

AND A SPLIT FIELD. Bet few have that. Have similar array for 58mm for DSLR.

Basically polarizers and a solar filter right now. Will add the half NDs as cash allows.
