Do any of my fellow Hoggers have experience with - or knowledge of - a Meet-up group of photographers called Shutter-Buds.com? They are located in Connecticut and claim to have 277 members. Any comments will be appreciated.

I have, join the group and get to know Sue the organizer. She's great and emphasizes creativity during the outings. I was with them for a year. The people are very sharing with all skill levels. Normally they have something to eat after a shoot. Good good times then. If you join, please say hello to Sue for me.....Haydon
You and I are close. I'm in Torrington btw....
Yes, I was also a member - great group with lots of seminars and activities. I lived in Simsbury before moving to Florida and was also a member of Simsbury Camera Club, which is also another awesome group of photographers. Miss them.
Susan
Happy to know there are good photo clubs in CT. I had been with a very good photo club called 'New York Botanical & Zoological Photo Society" Name changed recently to "Bronx Photo Society" for several years. After moving to CT, I have been searching for a new club but couldn't. How can I contact them for membership If I decide to join them and what is the qualification for joining? Besides that, the location and meeting time is important to me, because I'm 73 yrs old, I don't want to drive too far and too late at night.
Thank you!

If you are interested in the camera club, go to
www.simsburycameraclub.com. You will find all the information you need there. The first meeting of the year is this coming Monday, September 18. They meet at Eno Hall right in the center of Simsbury on Rte. 10&202. I don't know where you are in Avon, but it shouldn't be too far. Just show up and try it out. There is no pressure to join ($40/year) and they are a friendly group. They've been around since 1956. Tell them Susan Poirier sent you.
Thank you so much! i will check it up!
I will check it! Thank you very much!
There are camera clubs all over CT; I'm sure there's one reasonably close to where you live. The New England Consortium of Camera Clubs (NECCC.COM) lists names, addresses and contact info. CAUTION: some are more welcoming than others, as I've learned from experience.

One more question, do you know what time will be of their first meeting on Monday, I want to check it in person, it seems not too far from where I live.
Thank you!

Thank you! The time is a little too late for me, i don't really want to drive at night because of my age with some eye sign problem. I don't think my wife will approve that! The one I had in NY City that holds meeting on Saturday in the morning almost twice a month. I missed them so much!
I will continue looking to find a perfect one, thanks again!
