This is not the first unnecessary sarcastic banter I have seen on this group. I'm new as well and won't last long here if I should have to tolerate this childishness. Come on guys.

Well all I can say is stop reading if it offends you. You should have been able to gain enough info about at least 3 different lenses by now. There's a lot of good info to be found on this site, you just have to separate the wheat from the chaff. Some days it only take me 5 minutes if that to go through the day's listing and other days if there are interesting link it can take over an hour. Don't get hooked on the battle, give this site some time and learn how to navigate to your advantage.

Don't give up Pat. Occasionally, in a thread a few jerks show up, and I just ignore their juvenile childishness and go to a post that is worth reading.

Never heard of Tameron and Cannon....

Tameron is a lens maker of good repute. Canon is a manufacturer of many things including camera bodies, both video and still; point'n' shoot, bridge and dslr; AND some of the best camera lenses available. Nikon is Canon's strongest competitor, though many on UHH will argue Sony, Olympus, and Pentax are equally good. Watch UHH and you will get a good education in Photography. Enjoy!

Don't give up! Answer with some good writing with good tone and heart. Make the small people see their smallness. There are several who contribute very acidic views of the world and other photographers. I find that i can ignore them without loosing any sleep at all. Stay friends at least with me---

Wrong. "Tameron" does not exist. The rest is more or less right.

Its funny how the kindergarten gets around here. Some try to "get" at me and fail miserably, even misspelling again the same terms.

"Canon Rumors" a few weeks ago mentioned Canon is thinking of producing a 150-600mm lens, but will not be a "L" quality lens. If it were you wouldn't have enough money to buy it.

B
Canon already had a 150-600 lens and it was an L lens, although it was not cheap,it was also not overly expensive! (it was f/5.6 throughout)!

I looked it up and found it but couldn't find anywhere that has sold it. B&H doesn't even list it???

Thanks but if you look at the mount it won't work with today's cameras. As it stands now, Canon does not have a 150-600mm on the market for sale.

It also does not work without a Sherpa to haul it around for you.

And I say that with great respect for Sherpas who, in my opinion, do not get nearly the credit they deserve.

All, this is such a great site with helpful, intelligent contributors. Please don't dumb it down with unnecessary, snide comments. If you don't like a post, move on. The greatest damage is scaring new members into a fear of posting, thinking they could be mocked.

Please learn to use "Quote Reply" so readers have some notion of what you are talking about. Otherwise your comment might be interpreted as an unnecessary, snide and mocking cheap shot, which I am sure is not what you intended.

Tameron, is a car dealership located at 1595 Montgomery Hwy , Birmingham, AL 35216.

What that has to do with photography, I am not sure, but, yes, they do exist.
