My equipment is 35mm. I digitized slides and put up a website to test the waters. https://rossivey.smugmug.com if anyone is interested.

I'm looking toward wildlife photography starting with birds: hummingbirds to eagles in environments of forest to desert.

The Nikon P900 looks perfect and I searching for suggestions on lenses and filter attachments if there is still such a thing.

I'd love to hear what anyone with experience has to say.

I'm new to this site.

Ross

Hi Ross....welcome to UHH. The key for me to answer your question is what is your budget?

Haven't decided but I shopped the D500 with a 200-500 lenses. Anywhere at $3200 and one place for $2500.

Shopping the Sony Rx 103 next.

Not buying today anyway. Working on the budget and getting the online sales up and running.

These numbers look fine.

The Sony Rx10 Ill.. with a 600m lens looks really attractive price wise compared to the Nikon D500 with the 200-500 lens.

Looking for close in and long distance shots in both poor and good lighting.

Is the D500 worth an additional $1500 to $2000?

Thanks.

Ross
