I just received a call from the "IRS' (on my machine) about an action that was taken by the IRS against me, And a number to call. This is obviously a scam. The IRS does not notify anyone by phone. I am sure I am not the only one to receive such a call. This is a warning not to respond.

You better send them some money "just to be sure".

These scams must fool some people or they wouldn't bother.

Yes, they prey on a certain percentage being vulnerable. That's why they also use a list of those that donated money to political campaigns.

My call said they had 4 warrants for my arrest (in poor, ungramattical "English"). Oh my. 🙀

I've received two of those calls. Let's just say it didn't go very well for them.

Good to know. I was thinking of calling the IRS to tell them I was going to take action against them!

I have had that call a number of times. One time they argued with me and then someone else from a different number called me back and then someone else called me. Now I just say this is a scam and hang up. The other scam I get a lot of is someone posing from Microsoft or some other vendor telling me there is a problem with my computer. They say they are from tech support. I immediately say, "This is a scam" and then I hang up.

I've had that call before, in fact, one time it came out of NYC.

I always find some way to waste their time when they call.
