minolta has made a number of different model light meters and now they are being made by kenko.
the main accessories are an incident light dome and also a flat version.
a reflective disk about 45 degrees and a 10 and 5 degree spot metering attachment, there are also mini attachments which can be daisychained on some meters (not so important for most photographers).
now i believe the kenko attachments will fit most of the minolta meters. But i've seen listed an analog minolta lightmeter with a spot metering attachment which looks like it might fit later digital meters but I don't know if it is compatible or not.
I'm hoping to find someone who has experience with different minolta meters who can say if its compatible or not.

i would need to know what model minolta meter(s) you are referring to. on the 1-5 models, parts are often readily gotten from ebay or other secondary markets.

I have the flashmeter iv
I'm looking at this autometer
http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MzMyWDUwMA==/z/d4oAAOSwRJxZiJDi/$_12.JPGand wondering if that spot meter attachment would work on my IV
I think you can use it but you have to set the compensation manually.

I know with the flashmeter iv the incident head has a pin which operates a switch at the back of the head to switch sensitivity think its something like 2.4 stops or something.
with that being a spot meter i'm pretty sure it wouldn't have the pin but its a question of does it fit ...
You can still get the spot-meter attachment new but it costs more than I paid for the meter. I might be as well picking up a pentax spot meter if i was going to pay that much for an attachment.

Can you buy a used one of the correct version? How much do you expect to pay for the attachment in the picture? Are you buying both the meter and the viewfinder together? If so may be we can share because I like to have the Autometer II.

i believe you are correct in the issue of setting compensation manually should you go this avenue.
