I have the A6300, a great little camera ( emphasis on the little as in light!) but I have noticed a real delay in shutter to capture which can be very annoying when doing haute or dance photography - which are my areas.
The Sony guy in our local shop told me to use "H" i.e. high speed multiple capture (not H+ he added) - this certainly works, but results in me having multiple images when I prefer to shoot single shots. A professional photographer friend has the same problem with the much more expensive "9" mirrorless DSLR.
Any ideas on other ways to overcome this problem?
I never noticed this with my A6000. It would fire till it has focus, so that might be the cause. Just pushing the button quickly won't take a shot quickly. Achieve focus, then press the button. Experiment. Shutter lag is a real annoyance with digital cameras, but they've gotten better.
I found this info after a quick Google search: Full Autofocus, Center AF area, AF-S mode 0.150 sec.
Prefocused, 0.022 sec (Time to capture, after half-pressing and holding shutter button).
Just a thought. If your delay is really due to the camera acquiring focus, pressing the shutter half way prior to actually taking the shot would eliminate the delay. However, it might be better to switch to back button focus. This would eliminate any delay caused by the camera acquiring focus.
BBF, Continuous focus mode, high or medium speed. I did have some lag as described by the OP shooting sports in low light on occasion, but pretty sure it was focus lag due to low light. BBF seemed to solve the issue. Faster lens helped also.

I agree with the other posters about prefocusing and back button focusing. However, if the problem continues, i would call Sony support. >Alan

Oxymoron. "Mirrorless" {aka MILC} is technology which uses no mirror; DSLR is technology where mirror is a major part of the system. Saying "mirrorless DSLR" is like saying four-wheeled tricycle.
